A legendary 2,000 seater concert venue where The Animals disbanded in 1968 and Emerson Lake and Palmer recorded their self-indulgent Pictures at an Exhibition album in 1971. Nowadays the venue successfully straddles classical music and pop - recent acts include Sugababes, Paul Weller, Jools Holland, José Gonzalez and Ray Lamontagne.
